Hi Guys
It has been decided we will be travelling through the UK from Hollyhead to Dover in late June for a couple of weeks in France. On our way back we plan to visit Duxford the War Museum for a day, on depends on how bored the kids will get. We wont have any time to spare on the way down, but on the way back we should all going well. As I have said we will go to Duxford for how ever long untill we get the chants were bored were bored , can't we go now. What are the roads like for speed cameras, are there any that are really bad, its just I would like to keep my licence for a while longer. I have heard stories of cameras in concealed places, very well hidden and your caught before you even know your there yet Is there any good places on the way up from Dover to Duxford or Duxford to Hollyhead that would be good for a few hours. Now you lot know there had to be some questions some where from me so dont look so surprised. The other thing is if any one of you see a red Cruiser with Irish Reg plates on her, shout, scream, honk, flash and I do mean just with your head lights. We are still putting it together but we hope to stay over in the cheap hotels for two nights while in the UK, just to ease the pressure on all of us. So if you have any thoughts that are nice and can be repeated let me know.

John,
At the moment the M4 is the worse for cameras, on the overhead
signs, on bridges, hidden in vans and being used on police motor
bikes. This is not going to bother you. Other motorways are fairly
clear but the only way to be sure is not to speed, pity but there it
is.
Regards Clive.

John,
I've seen some UK online web sites that can give u GPS readings of where
known speed cameras are

Good luck - always something I hate and to me its just a money revenue
generator for them - never seen any stats to show it Increases Safety - nope
their always positioned where they'll catch people :)

John,
Be particularly wary when travelling through N Wales. The Labour
commissar who's the local Chief Constable has his own idea how to make
loads of money on passing traffic. This is what he has to say: "We
are hiding behind road signs and walls...You don't know where we will
be. "
Ask me how I know.

Hi Guys
Thanks for the advice, not sure if it makes me feel any better or worse. Over hear its ilegal to have a speed camera detector. I think that I will just stick to the speed limits, what a bore. Villagers in north wales with speed detectors, you can be caught from one Km away from the camera and it will only be visable from one hundred meters, really you dont stand a chance.
