I have shipped my vehicle 4 times now (in a container) and the shipper has always strapped the vehicle down, 2 straps to the front and 2 at the rear, including chocks to all wheels nailed to the floor. They also take photos of it tied down in the container.

Yes and that's the way it should be done, having carried out over 65000 HHG moves in tha last 25 years, you would be amazed how many cars are shipped only chocked and not strapped down.
