steering set up

John,
Thinner oil will sink to the bottom, the same as water will sink
to the bottom.
You do not have to start the cruiser every few days, this could
be counter productive. To start you use some of your battery and you
probably don't run the car enough to re-charge it. My cruiser has
stood for periods of weeks and always fired up nicely.
Your steering needs sorting properly. I would take a hose of from
near the bottom and drain all of the fluid, then fill it up with
proper ATF, find the leak and fix it, it is probably only a hose end
or a seal. Try to do without the 'stop that leak' kind of gimmicks.

Hi Clive
Can you tell me what the difference would be if you used B&C fluid instead
of ATF.
There are two lines connected to the resevoir, I presume a feed and a
return.
But which is which.

Hi Clive
Just been thinking about what you said about starting it.
If you start the cruiser how much does it take out of the batteries and how
long would it take to put that amount back into the batteries if the engine
is running at say 1000 rpm.
I know there is a lot of possibilities but just a round figure, an idea.
thanks

John,
I can't answer that one as it is dependant on how easy your
cruiser is to start.
