Julian,
FWIW. The Pajero club also found the cost was high. So initially they just
issued a 100mm diamond of yellow Fablon which we all stick on the screen
behind the rear view mirror so it does not obstruct screen view. It was
cheap, fadeproof, has a proven adhesive and easily recognised by others on
the road. (Even been flashed by others on the M25 now). You may have
noticed it on mine when we last met.
Lately they have put a small black graphic of the Paj on it and no more,
well mebbe the web address. I think the wisdom was that it was more for
others to identify a fellow member than advertise the club to following
drivers of the same marque. They are now going for a spare wheel cover that
gives all the info, though not so easy for Toys with spare under the floor.
Surely those who are keen enough to join a group like ours will do so by a
web search or recommendation rather than see a sticker on he back of a car
and want to stop and read it?
Finally, congrats on all the hard work you are doing for the event and
stickers etc. Its looking impressive, even on the 80scool site too - where
Lio is now also famous ;o)
Cheers
Jon
