Many thanks to all those tha came along and made it such an enjoyable day
out. Hopefully the "eventful" end to the day didn't dampen the enthusiasm?
I found the trip VERY enjoyable as did SWMBO and the rest of my brood, the
Gap was a bit more slippery than it was last week and was quite
"interesting". It's a damn shame that we've now almost certainly lost this
fantastic lane for good!!
I'd be very greatful if all those taking part could give me feedback with
their honest opinions of the day? Good points, bad points, was the day too
long, was the nature of the day what you expected, or better, or worse, etc.
Would you come along on any future trips? I can use the information to
improve the planning of any future trips.
For those that don't yet know, I managed to get Chas' LC started again just
after 8pm and I've heard that he then got home safely and without further
drama just after 10. He now just has to get it dried out again!!
I haven't heard from Renate yet but I'm assuming she got home OK?
My thanks to Adrian, Mark and John for pulling my Cruiser "back from the
brink" as it were!!
My thanks also to Ian for recovering Chas' crippled Cruiser back to
civilisation.
Andrew (not LC nor ELCO) blew a head gasket just outside Merthyr and was
unable to join us. I've heard that the RAC got him home OK.
Once again, many thanks to one and all.

We would not seek a battle as we are, yet as we are, we say we will not shun
it.
