Hi All,
I'm looking for a 2"-3" lift for my 90 TLC80.
Any suggestions? Things to avoided etc?
Thanks
Rob

Hi Rob,
As Dennis has said, the most common route is Old Man Emu suspension
upgrades.
The key thing to remember with OME is to make sure that the springs and
dampers are correctly rated for the loads you are carrying.
For example, I have an 2.5" OME lift but designed for an 80 with a
winch and winch bumper at the front and long range tanks, etc in the
back - since I don't have these on there at the moment the ride is
pretty harsh and I have around 4-5" of lift.
The other sunday I had the boot stacked with tools and jacks etc which
added the required weight for the springs and dampers to work properly
and the ride was a lot better.
I have a chart somewhere showing what setup to have according to the
weights you are likley to be carrying - if you want I can email it
over.
