Julian if you think I have a cheek then please delete this post, no
offence meant.
I appreciate some of you are using SVO regularly, so I was interested
in this posting on the Pajero owners club site last week, and thought
you addicts might be interested. It refers to the Tesco Port Solent
branch near Portsmouth.

Well today I went to tesco and loaded my trolley up with 20 bottles
of veg for use in the paj hopefully tomorrow. Just finished loading
when the shop manager came over and told me to put it all back except
5. I argued with the manager who said they have a bulk buy policy
and I said no one said anything for the last 9 mths why now. Anyways
to my surprise I found 2 security guards appear out of nowhere and I
was escorted from building and car park.
Got on the main road to find 2 police cars and a customs inspect van
waiting just for me. Turns out tesco had called the police on me
because I was after the oil for fuel in the car.
Told the coppers to dip the tank, all they found was diesel, 65lts of it!

Following this posting there has been a strong interest in the club
for trade cards for Makro/Costco/cash and carry outlets ! Other
members have reported a strange coincidence of similar incidents
near Tesco stores. Some have also reported the ease of downloading
the Customs application form from the official website, which is easy
to complete and mail-in to them so that the 47p a litre duty for SVO
use can be extracted from the users on a monthly basis.
Well, I thought it was interesting anyway.
Cheers
