Do you mean simply a lead that goes between the cigarette lighters on both vehicles? Or is there something else as well?

If the former it will be just the same as hooking up jump leads, going off to have a cup of coffee for ten minutes, and hoping that you've transferred enough charge to the dead battery to get it started.

ps: I wonder when political correctness will cause car companies to start calling it an "accessory socket" or something similar, instead of a cigarette lighter?
Hi guys
I was as usual looking at sites on the web and came across a charger to jump start another vehicle. Instead of using jump leads as we all tent to do, you simply plug in to your cig lighter and the other persons cig lighter , and in 5 to 10 minutes the low battery is charged.
Hve any of you come acroos this and what are your views.

Thanks

Hi John,
I would rather stick to jump leads, saves hanging around waiting for
the batteries to charge.
