Hi all you ELCO cruiser heads
DA BITZ 4 DA BEAST are here!!!!!!!
I wasn't able to be very coherent, so a mate of mine helped to put my
mind at rest.
So here it is....the invite:
There's going to be a spanner fest at Gareth's place - date to be
confirmed by Gaz - so Gareth, any dates that you really cannot do?...
The time has come to 'rebuild' my front axle [driveshafts, etc] -
everyone welcome, bring your own spanners, tools and such - and Julian,
that nice tool you told me about....bring this too, as it might be
needed...
I'll bring loadsa beer (preferences please, to this email addy, as soon
as you are able.... )
A rare opportunity to meet all you other cruiser heads who are
interested in these kinds of things, and have a laugh too.
I'm REALLY looking forward to this now! l'beast will be a-travelling
fair soon...
Kindest regards to you all
Renate

Renate, calm down tiger you'll blow a gasket !! Now as I stated I am
busy until the 17th March. I am off to France on April 19th to 26th. The
first and second weekends of May are also booked. Am I to assume that
you have secured the services of Julian as a technical "guru / mentor"
?
Thanks, Gareth.

Gareth
Moi? blow a gasket??
Thanks for your dates and times - whenever you kinda fancy a group of
elco lot coming your way - later in March, April, whatever, you prefer!
I have waited over 2 months for these bits, I'm sure I can wait a mite
longer!!! no probs ol'man!
Obviously, need confirmations from whoever else might be interested, so
I can wait as long as it takes, as I know you've all got holidays booked
and things.
I'll await the response well-behaved and extremely calm like!
Regards
Renate

Well Julian is interested but the poor man thought (assumed) that he
would do the entire refit himself...
I said, this was not my intention (to have someone, i.e. one person to
do it all themselves). He seems okay about it, well, seemingly okay, or
whether he is actually thinking "oh my god!" can't let Renate loose on
the front axle!....
I'll keep you informed
Regards
Renate

Hi Renate,
I didn't initially realise that you wanted to get your hands dirty so
assumed that you wanted me to do it all, but really don't mind either
way.

It is a serious case of "if I don't do it now I never will!" kind of
thing, and, it is important to me. All I have are some old clothes
which I used to use in my arty days as overalls, but actually, I don't
mind getting to grips with things like this, as I would assume its a
once in a lifetime situation, as far as this particular cruiser of mine
is concerned, at the moment. This would obviously be a little more
frequent if I had other cruisers (and I would like a whole FLEET!)
mind!.
I'm making a few long term plans again, serious projections like never
before, so I want to feel that I can handle most things that will
probably happen to me sooner or later, or be thrown at me in 'the worst
case scenario' situation. So I have to be ready for anything.....
