169k miles is just about run in and with a manual I think you'll be fine for years. My AT has been rebuilt once.

I'll remember that next time I get in the bad books.... Only person you're upsetting is yourself.... Think I'll be living in my Prado if I did that.

I got these on mine. They are Toyota wheels we call them Kimberley mags here as one of the special editions of the Prado GXL was called Kimberley after the desert I presume.

I know, I couldn't believe it when my mate John said the same thing, "Just about run in" lol.
Believe me, she don't do to bad. She has a week in Italy every year being pampered at the Grand Hotel De La Ville, Sorrento. Hair and nails done once a month and a wardrobe full of clothing and shoes, and a nice house and garden She might spit her dummy out now and then, but she knows what side her bread is buttered.

Owwwww I like those, I wonder if they are available in the UK!!!???
Currently dark here but I'll get a better pic tomorrow. There are centre caps mine are missing on one side.

Mine is a GXL but not a Kimberley, think from the old paperwork I have that the original owner bought it with mags but there was a cock up at the dealer and got these as an upgrade in return for fitting later.

Azrael,

I expect your friend John knows . . .But I recommend removing the radiator and cleaning out the build-up of 'stuff' that gets between it and the Aircon Rad. It isn't easy to see or clean and it can seriously affect the cooling. It can be very bad if you are towing something heavy !

Bob.
Excellent tip Sir, I'll definitely be adding it to the job list.

Well, I've had a couple of little wins this week. I fixed the cover flap on the drink holder between the seats, then removed the fold down third row seats out of the back. Once I've finished in John Trailer I'm going to add a bit of storage either side of the space behind the seats. I'm a very keen Carp angler and carry a mountain of gear on a barrow so I need a clear space in the middle I can run it up and into the back without having to unload and load it up every time.IMG_20201109_225013_163.jpg

I sleep quite a bit lol

AND a snorkel - how deep does he intend to go ???? :laughing-rolling: .

(I've got a 'T shirt' like that ).

Bob.

That Surf is great , give him your cruiser and say bring it back when your done I'd say

Yerknowot, out of all the Cruisers, a well kept 90 series is one of the best looking big 4x4's Toyota has ever made, it's neat from all angles which can't be said for all the models, they ruined it a bit with the 3 spoke wheels in 2000/2001 (i had one) and the Prado grill sets them off better than the standard upright slatted grill we are more used to here.

My friend John built a trailer for his surf and asked me to fit it out for him.
