What do you expect the driving conditions to be like on the range on sunday?
I know they've had rain and the range will probably be muddy, and I guess
there might be rivers to drive through and such? I don't mind if there is,
as I have a raised air intake so can go to about a foot, foot and a half,
something like this.
Because of the gearbox issue I have to be certain its safe; if there is too
much mud, then 1) I don't have the tyres, 2) I couldn't do much reversing
out of it! and 3) don't much like mud...
If you can allay my reservations than I might consider doing the offroading
bit!
Cheers

Hi Renate
Sarn Helen is mostly easy and shouldn't be too muddy. There are steps (down)
and a shallow river to cross. At least it will be shallow if there's not too
much rain between now and then!
The Gap is perfectly OK, it's all rock / shale. As I've said before the only
problem bits on the Gap are the steps and the blown bridge, neither of which
are muddy. So long as you have decent AT's you should be fine.
Pontsticill to Talybont is muddy in parts but you can always bail out at
that point.
Renate, it's up to you but I don't think it will be difficult for you.
Depends how touchy your gearbox is ;-)

Renate,
The cruiser will wade a foot and a half when you drive it out of
the showroom.
Regards, Clive.

Nah its not difficult for me, not at all, but I do have reservations about
da gearbox. We'll see how it goes.
cheers
