Hello fellow members.

It's that time again as need advise on a project I'm trying to get together.
Not sure if any one has heard of the pedal monster on YouTube or other sites.
My question is on no site in USA mention a Toyota landcruiser but ever other Toyota make.
I want to no if the plug on the harness I have found fits my pedal if that's possible.
Posted a link below hope it works as not sure how to copy a link any other way.

Never heard of a pedal monster before, but....!

Is it an american thing? Do they mention the Lexus equivalents? eg a lexus gx470 is essentially a 120 etc

The link I have found is for lexus , Subaru, Toyota, ford I think.
The meaning behind the monster pedal is because ever car comes with a spongy pedal for fuel consumption.
The purpose of the pedal monster is to tap into your ECU via your OBD2 plug.
There is an app on your phone to link to the harness and alter the throttle response.
The harness is unplug your pedal throttle plug and replace with the harness plug.
Your original plug from your pedal plugs into the other end off the harness.
Both are linked to the OBD2 via a 2nd harness attached to the first.
The you tube clips explain it better in real life
The moral is instant throttle response .

Thanks Tony. Wonder if that mod would affect your insurance?

Might be fun on a performance motor, but not sure I'd bother on a diesel truck personally

Hi Tony. If you are looking for another throttle booster try looking at www.4X4works.co.uk. They sell the iDrive EVC Throttle controller. Its similar to the pedal monster but sold in the UK. You will need to look under Prado 120.

Been it touch with Gill banks who makes the pedal monster.
I'm after some technical information from you guys
The message below is the reply from Gill banks.
Can any of you guys make sense of his reply and tell me if I buy his pedal monster will it work on my lc5.
My landcruiser 120 is 55 plate so almost 2006.
Does my lc5 have the same obd11 connection as a newer model.
Reading his message he seems to be referring to the landcruiser 90 if I'm understanding correctly.

Understood, but the gen-1 OBD-II (1996-2007) typically won't work with PedalMonster. Especially for reverse safety. That being said, there are a select few vehicles that'll work like some 2007 Dodge and GM model-year trucks. As far as the Land Cruiser, haven't had one work. A few customers tried on OBD-II gen 1's that were unsuccessful. The years that bought and tried them were 1999 and 2003.

Does a generic OBD2 code reader work on your LC? Some later 120s they work on, earlier ones they don't.

After some research I have found they don't work before 2008 models.
Some one has a lexus gx470 2004 and they bought the pedal monster and didn't work so not worth pursuing any longer
