I am an original owner 1972 FJ40 3 spd 327. Helping a guy out with a 1977 FJ40. Replaced dead distributor with HEI gapped plugs to .040. change oil new ir filter set timing ran great. 2 weeks later wont idle etc. replaced carb with NOS and fuel filter ran great then started same symptoms!! Catalytic converter? Timing chain?
