Tommo, looks great
1 little question are you going to take the steps off to help with ramp over clearance to get over the dunes?

Jon is going to make me some patented Wildsmith Sliders if we can fit timings!

When you going Tommo? My truck is still in bits and I am meant to be leaving in 2 weeks

Looking very shiny

Very jealous...

You did get heavy duty springs didn't you?

At least 90 sliders are easy to make. The brackets have no mysteries to them. Chassis is tapered in places, ranges from about 70mm to 80 mm but there are convenient holes right through it and not much to get in your way. I still have the converted ASFIR sliders for a SWB if you want any dimensions off them. I made the ones for Lil Blue by making a U shaped bracket if you recall. It was a long debate I know. But they turned out to be very strong. Without a lift, there isn't much room to get over the chassis. But you can bolt through it. I used a captive nut idea so it was all pretty simple. Three legs and three big bolts certainly seemed to lock it all together. With a lift, it would be easier to bolt over the top. The ASFIR originals bolt through the chassis so they must have work that out too.

When and where abouts are you going?

We are leaving 1st August. I imagine in August we'll bump into a fair few people doing similar trips.

We are going to Mongolia, we don't have a set date yet as it all depends on how long it takes to get a Russian visa but I expect it will be 2 weeks or less. As we are travelling on our own we don't have to leave on a exact date.

Cheers guys,

Off to Morocco on the 1st of October, back on the 20th. Doing the Waypoint Tours, Western Sahara trip.... can not wait!

and Jon yes they are ;) +100kgs on front, +300 on rear. Can't need more than that!

Currently my boot is worse than that, but I wont embarrass myself by posting a pic

My boot is awful.

Got a fridge, lesiure battery, relay, some fairly well hidden wiring.
A 275/70 tyre, Robs old nudge bar, lots of fluids and oils, some rags, some spare parts. I really need to sort it out sharpish!!

And heres mine, just testing my bladder too
