tow bar at front

Hi Guys
just wondering if any one can tell me if the chassis at the front of the 80
is the same width as the chassis at the rear.
I have an idea, will a tow bracket that bolts onto the chassis each side on
the rear fit the front.
This would give me the spreading bracket I need to beef up the front of my
cruiser.

I fitted a tow bar to the front of my lj78w.
It is mounted to the chassie using two bolts on each side just behind the
bumper. a big box section of iron and a tee bar welded of that. I move my
boat around a lot using it. There was no modifaction done to the unit
otherwise. I can take photos of the mount ect if you need.

Please that would be great.
its just I can buy a tow bar, no ball for the rear for about the same or
less as getting someone to make me a support for the front.
