Hi,
Some time ago someone mentioned the name of a good LC workshop in Kenya - I'm shipping a car out there for a customer and he is looking for someone over there to look after it for him on an ongoing basis.
We are also looking for an ARB supplier out there.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Regards
Julian

martin (snr. mech) at new world auto close to the methodist guest house off
gitanga road, nairobi.
ndovo in the industrial area, nairobi.
alfa motors, industrial area, nairobi.
fast freddies on ngong road may do arb or tjm kit, however the import duty
is a bitch.

Thanks Jeremy,
The car is off to Naivasha, so which one of those would be the closest and most reliable?

nwa is west of town on the road to lavington and jungle junction (good
overlanders stopover). ndovu and alfa are in the industrial area so they may
be best. however the industrial area can become jam packed due to very
narrow roads and broken vehicles.
best to come off the mombassa road at the toyota garage (s1 18.261 e36
49.604) and enter the industrial area from the back rather than drive all
the way up mombassa road and risk getting stuck with no way to turn round.
alpha motors (s1 18.588 e36 50.784) are good but i have no name there - but
they generally do good work and can add their own bullbars, spare wheel
carriers etc. they are used alot by ngo's/tour ops for custom fabrication
and servicing.
ndovu are also very good - they specialise in suspension components. they
are close to alpha toyota but i don't have any co-ords.
rob's magic are a local brand of shocks/springs/polybushes and are well
known for there toughness and quality. the actual rob's magic workshop is
also in the industrial area and i think they may import tjm bumpers etc.
again no co-ords but in the same general area as alpha and ndovo.

Jeremy,
Many thanks for that - I'll pass that on.
