My sons troopy will not start. There is no dash lights and radio does not come on. The battery is fully charged and I have checked all the fuses in main fuse box and they are all ok. The car was purchased second hand, it has an engine immobiliser. The remote fob has the Toyota logo on it so I am assuming it was factory fitted although there is no mention of it in owners manual. The red flashing led on dash is not working so I am deducing that the immobilise has died no power is getting to it I found the unit tucked up under the dash above where fuse box is located and a bundle of black wires disappearing up into behind dash, I was wondering if these units would have a fuse somewhere and if so if this may be the problem

Yes found the problem. It was a fusible link hidden down the backside of the battery. This thing has four fusible links, I had checked three but had missed the fourth tucked away out of sight. Hate it when something has me beat for so long but feel elated when solved.
