Hi guys
I know I have asked this before and Roman was kind enough to send me a book
on the subject, but will a 12.5 tyre fit on the 15 inch x 8 rim or not. I
know if the tyre is too wide it will cause driving problems which I do not
want at all. I just want to go to 33s but it seems they are nearly all in
12.5 wide which I dont need and it would mean over two inches overlap each
side of the rim. The info Roman sent me said it should only be a 9 or 9 and
a half inch tyre for the 8 inch rim, but sure it already has a 10.5 on it.
I was tyring to see what the load is that can be carried in the rear of the
cruiser but it does not or I cant find it in the manual any body an idea.
Thanks
John

John,
I'm not sure what you refer to as 12.5 tyre and how you used the
calculator, but when you enter the values for 33 in diameter tyres
(e.g. 255/85/16) in the calculator called "An ideal rim-width
calculator" , the suitable rim width given is between 7 and 8.5 inch.
For 265/85/15 tyres (32.74 inch dia) it will be 7.5 to 9 inch.
Another useful tyre size calculator is here:
