The alternator is showing signs of needing replacement (again! mud, water and rotating electric triangle of love).

I have the older style round plug >92 but the later alternators are £16 cheaper and can be found in bigger amps....

Does anybody know of a uk supplier for these:

Or (if someone can confirm the wiring diagram for me?) I could rewire straight to an oval plug but not sure which one it is:

Although to compare the two I would guess the right one at £18?

And in so doing give yourself a bit more lead to play with. They really didn't use any more cable on these than they needed.

Thanks gents - agree with cable length its "just enough".

Plug ordered.

Does anybody have a wiring diagram so I get the pins the right way around?

Hi Dave,

That would be perfect if it were for the round and oval plugs:

I found this picture of an adapter which is a layman's way of working it out, having a wiring diagram would give me peace of mind.

Ive just read your reply to my 100 series question - do the 100 series have these 4 pin square then? Im going to order one and try it now - cheers for that.
