Wanted - pros & cons of the 3rd row of seats

As the proud possessor of the 3rd row of seats, and also 3 teenagers (+
an 8 year old), I have to say that they are not much use for children
over about 5' high for trips of any distance - they are just too small.
And folded up they still take up a fair bit of boot space.
Put another way I'd have to be really, really sure that I really, really
needed them before I rejected an otherwise suitable vehicle.
They make quite a good saddle rack though ...

| The third row seats are not easily retro-fittable. There
| are Two reccesed hooks in the floor, already mentioned, and
| also the fixings on the wheel arches are not brackets that
| are put on, they are recesses formed in the wing. I looked at
| doing mine and gave it up as too much hassle.
