Wanted Sony in-car CDR front panel

Hello all,
I managed to drive over my detachable panel for SONY CDX-CA600 and
it's now in a rather sorry state. To get a new one, I rang a number of
Sony dealers. Half of them told me to go away. The rest said they can
get one for me, but at the price higher than a new complete radio
unit. One even quoted me twice the original price!
Does any one have an idea where I can get it, but not at a silly
price? If these things are so expensive, surely there must be people
who had their main units damaged or stolen and may want to sell just
the front panel.

I believe that you will find that the panel has a chip coded to match your
head unit.
If you purchase one from anywhere other than a dealer it will be most likely
stolen, and probably won't work properly if at all.
eBay would be the best place, or try a car breakers.
