Is it a good idea to wash the engine bay? After the last trip everything is absolutely caked in dust.
My local car wash has a gentle foam cycle and a gentle rinse, I wasn't thinking of going banzaai with high pressure, but be nice to clean it up a bit.

It is a 3.0d4d

best thing is to find a nice deep river to wade in - but not too deep mind the lads on this forum usually stop when it reaches their nose.. otherwise leave it in to Toyota for a winter check over and they'll wash it for you!

Nah some stop when it’s an inch deep, then go home :D.

I’m with Shayne, open bonnet apply jetwash then run the engine to dry it out. Just try not to use full force on electrical connections etc.

I've jet washed a non electronic diesel before, just thought I would ask before I did it!

Pop bonnet.
Pressure wash loose dirt off.
Spray liberally with a cheap All Purpose Cleaner (like this one)

Leave for 5 minutes.
Agitate stubborn areas with dish brush.
Pressure wash off/rinse.
(repeat above as necessary)
While wet, spray liberally with FS365.

Run engine for 5-10 minutes.
Close bonnet.

He forgot to do the inside of the sills where all the deadly rust is.
