Just to let you all know ive now changed my water pump and thanks to max ellery ive got loads of spares that i dont need.
so if your water pump ever needs changing all you need is the water pump and gasket and if you really want to go mad you can change the fan/aircon belts while they are off and if you dont save the coolant some new coolant aswell.
It was a lot easier than i thought it took me just over an hour to do and that was stopping for a cuppa in between. at least ive got a new timing belt and tensioner for when its due (another 30000 miles).
