Weight Management - High Lift Jack - Mounting

Greetings all !!
Just wondering if anyone has mounted a HLJ to a bull bar? Looking at the
HLJ mounting bolts I have, it looks like a viable option.
I'm trying to shift as much weight off the roof as possible so looking
for alternatives to putting it on the roof rack.
Looking at the mounting bolts I have, it looks like a viable option,
although it would get in the way of some spots. It would also be a more
accessible location than the roof. However I don't like the idea of
having a HLJ coming through the windscreen if it came loose in the event
of an accident...
Have contacted ARB in Australia to see what they think.
If anyone has done something similar - would be very interested to hear.
Cheers
Niall

yep - mount mine to the fairlead cover on my arb bulbar. have seen bolts
welded vertically on to the top of the bulbar so that you can just drop the
hilift onto it and then screw it down with wing nuts. usually there is a
hole in one bolt that allows a small padlock to be inserted.
i use two bolts to attach it (with nylocks) and then use a short length of
steel wire with two eyes, that i had made up at a ship's chandlers, and a
padlock to secure it.

nice one Fred!
good picture and info
managed to get great pricing on a ready to go rack from sa, but am
making good headway towards avoiding the need for a rack at all - thus
maintaining a nice low centre of gravity and use of the sun roof for
game viewing :)
then its just down to weight distribution and avoidance of "saggy arse
syndrome".
