Weight

I don't know for a BJ40 but the stock curb weight for an FJ40 (2F engine) is 3792 lbs 0r virtually a one and three quarter tons.

A BJ is not going to be too far from that.

Regards,

Rodger

Maybe, maybe not, as the 2F was a cast iron 6 pot so quite heavy.

Cheers,

Rodger

If I get a chance I'll put mine "as is" on a weigh bridge & let you know.

Great thanks again, do you think there is much difference between bj40 and bj42 .

Did go over the weigh bridge but was slightly loaded
come in at 2.18 tonnes
had half a main & half a sub tank in diesel
take off the swag, water, hi lift jack, esky, etc. your getting closer to the 2 ton mark
hope that helped

My Bj46 : 1960 kg with full diesel tank, pto winch (heavy) and a fibreglass hardtop. (Bj46=a bit longer than a bj42)

im just trying to get an idea for either transporter or trailer

they can't weigh much as I don't know mine is on my trailer, it is a whole lot less than a standard 80 for sure
