Wheel nuts

Hi ive got a set of modular steels for my lwb 90 amd the tyre fitter who was going to fit my mud terrains said that i will need diffent wheel nuts to fit them on? Is this true? New to me if so haha

I'm not an expert by any means but I've seen some wheels with different bolt hole tapers and nuts with different taper lengths so it could be true.

This was on a trailer, I had the axle upgraded to electric brakes and the new wheel nuts only just fit its wheels.

As far as I can remember on a 90 they are different The alloy nuts have a fixed washer and the steel nuts are just a taper

Yes you need new taper type nuts.
