Wiper wiring

I am just thinking of finally installing my Velleman wiper delay
gismo. Unlike most of the rest of you 80 owners I have basic wipers,
with a flick wipe against a spring on the stalk, then two speeds with
stalk downwards. I have no intermittent wipe setting.
The Velleman instructions give the usual automotive code numbers for
the wiper motor connections - 31, 53, 53b, 53a, 31a. The mighty
Haynes manual does not give these numbers and I can't see them
moulded into the motor socket or plug either. The earth is obvious of
course but the other three are not. Before I start to go through it
all with the multi-meter I thought it might be worth asking those
with a factory wiring diagram before I start to re-invent the wheel !!
If possible can anyone give me the number that connects to each cable
colour ? TIA
Cheers

Jon,
I was trying to send you a page from the factory manual, but your
address <[Email address removed]> bounced back, and so did the ELCo server
(article rejected ...)

SNIP
Roman, so kind of you to help out, thank you. Sorry about the address
bouncing but it seemed to be working OK Tuesday. My domain's server
is in Oz and they did have some problems on Monday and I could not
log-on. Perhaps you can re-send now please? Thanks.
Cheers

Jon,
You've done a great job with the RTM184E manual and you deserve flat
face kudos from all of us!
Are you planning to do the same with the other books?

I'm a good way through RM315E (Repair manual supplement for chassis &
body) that Julian kindly sent for dissection. I have RM172E (1PZ, 1HZ,
1HD-T Engines) and a couple more chassis and body supplements that I'll
work my way through. If I can get my hands on any others I'll scan those
as well.
For those that joined the list more recently the rest of RM184E (80
series only I'm afraid) is here:
