Hi Guys not to sure if anybody can help me but chasing a piece of dash loom from a 100 series Landcruiser or a Lexus LX470 2002/2007 that goes behind the dash where the electric door mirrors, headlight height control switch is and I think on some models there is also 2 switches for the very rear windows, this piece of loom plugs into the main dash loom in 2 places it is about 8inches long or about 200mm it has a main loom plug each end and it also has a small black plug ( door mirrors) a small ghrey plug ( headlight height control ) and I think it is 2 small white plugs also I am in Australia I belive that any right hand drive piece of loom is what I am after not to sure if left hand drive is the same but I think it is , if some body can help I can send money via paypal thankyou in advance Gary

anybody want to drop the name or web address of any wreckers in the UK that specialise in wrecking 100 series landcruisers thankyou I might be able to chase up what I need

Send a PM to Karl Webster on this site - he may be able to help.

Bob.

Hi Bob thankyou for that as it was a opsion in Ausse on Sahara models only or seems to be in great supply on the Lexus LX470 in Ausse but very hard to find at the wreckers here but I believe it is more common on Landcruisers in the UK

copy of parts listing for the piece of loom that I'm after no longer available from Toyota

A part of toyota's success is that they only order batches of parts in the quantity that they need... this is how later on specific parts become unobtainable. Other vehicle manufacturer's have a warehouse full of parts that they can't sell because their product has degraded. Quite shocked that a piece of loom is unobtainable on such a recent series of cruiser's.

If you still have the plugs intact with enough tails, can you rewire the loom and just keep the plug connectors and achieve what you want?

Good luck with your quest buddy..

Hi Iwan thanks for the reply as I am in converting my cruiser to the last cosmedic up grades mid 2005 to mid 2007 thought I would also put in the adjustable headlights as well most of the wiring is there except for that small piece of loom behind the dash, my electric mirrors are fine the wiring for the electric rear windows is there but the wiring that I'm looking for in Ausse mostly came out on the Lexus LX470 not so much on the Cruisers very few Cruisers came out with the adjustable headlights but the LX470 is basically the same car but once again trying to find one at the wreckers is also becoming a bit hard as the wreckers strip them crush the bpdy then advertise the parts just got to keep trying it will eventually turn up some one will be scapping one and then with some luck I will have a win,
the loom on mine has the black plug for the mirrors, 2 white plugs that are for the rear windows but no grey plug which is for the headlight motors in the main loom where it plugs in to there is quite a few empty spots for it to connect to but I do not have a wiring schmatic to tell me what wirs go where for the headlight motors switch if I had that I might be able to do it with out the plug required but so far have not been able to find the wiring diagram

I now see Gary... The best place to look for the loom section would be on the ih8mud forum, because the L uxury E X port U S 's LX470 would have been well up for grabs on the LEXUS forecourt when they were new in the us. Aand I believe on that forum it's the 100 series/LX470 combined forum section so there's bound to be someone who has a rusty part's truck.

Good luck with your quest man

Hi Iwan thankyou for the help I also sent a Email to Karl Webster on his Landcruiser site but have heard nothing back yet from him he may be looking for me but will most certainly have a look on ih8mud forums and have a look around once again many thx for the help and advice
