Just wired in a new reversing camera & monitor. Used the rear cigarette lighter as a wire in so it comes on when car is started. As camera was mounted on the rear of the roof rack this was the easiest set up. Engine warning light is now showing. Is this the ECU not being able to deal with the new wiring?? No dramas until this circuit added. Have previously wired a cb uhf from the front cigarette lighter accessories port in the same fashion with no problems. Thoughts would be appreciated??

Try disconnecting it again and see what happens.

Also without any information on your vehicle or location, it's pretty much impossible for anyone on here to help you further Keiran.

Probably no connection. Two separate issues. Read the code.

Why not put details of your vehicle in a signature line, and your whereabouts. There are differences between markets.

Sorry about that. Vehicle is 2002 uzj100. No engine modifications. Regularly serviced. 272k kms on the clock.
