Morning all
Am I right in thinking that workshop manuals are hard to come by for 80
series TLCs? Or am I missing something...?

I've got a well-thumbed one - its a Haynes manual - I could always
bring it on the 5th - amazon.co.uk have them, and the Haynes webpages
have them too.
Hope this helps

You might try these guys who are shipping manuals (not Haynes)over from AUS,
mine will hopefully arrive today :o)
www.mercianmanuals.co.uk
their items are normally advertised on ebay.

Hi Nick,
Which manuals did you get from them (their website doesn't list toyota at
all)?
Jeremy,
AFAIK, only the electrical wiring diagrams manual (EWD 169F) is difficult to
get, but other manuals can be bought in the UK from a Toyota dealer. You can
get away with these two:
Engine Repair Manual RM172E
Repair Manual for Chassis & Body RM184E
Be careful with CDs advertised on ebay. They are useless for diesel cars,
being relevant to US models.
Don't forget the parts catalogue downoladable from www.yankeetoys.org/Docs.htm

As far as I know this one is out of print - I have been trying to get
it, but without success.
I have recently purchased:
Engine Repair Manual - RM172E
A442F Auto Box Manual - RM314E
Chassis and Body Supplement - RM315E
The engine and Auto box manuals are excellent, but the supplements is a
bit restrictive without the original manual.
Haynes is not as bad as everyone makes out for every day maintenance.

Julian ,
Repair Manual for Chassis & Body RM184E is more than useful. It also contains a
basic electrical schematics section. I can't remember where I bought it - it's
been two or three years, but it is really worth the trouble of finding a
suupplier. Have you tried All American Imports in NL?
