Its something i read about a while back , wasn't a cruiser but it had me wonder if all pedals have a spring . Then i forgot about it until you posted so its just a suggestion for you to investigate .
I can't answer any of your questions other than to say mostly discussed on the forum vaguely relative to maintenance and reliability , we are talking about circa 30 year old cruisers with over a quarter of a million miles on the clock . So perhaps its just to soon to be hearing of any issues...
Can't drive without it but surely someone could take it off for a minute and draw around it giving you what size of rectangle to start with , angle and holes .
I don't know your engine nor the correct readings but the logic of your findings make perfect sense to me .
Sensors tell the ecu how much fuel to inject and fuel can't burn without air , so the left side of the cars brain is working correctly adjusting fuel air ratio to the sensor readings its...
Top of your bumper is just flat so any bumper of suitable width can be made to fit because you have a body lift . Build or buy a hidden winch tray and bolt the bumper to that .

I give up , I'd accidentally swapped hazards and difflock (modified) switch on dash . Hit the hazards and everything is working except the hazards ?

I can live with that until i can get someone who doesn't feel ill just looking at car electrics to remove all the...
Have the battery on fast charge now which i don't like doing but when its reading over 12v it can trickle all night . On my travels tomorrow so I owe you a pint if I've at least stopped the drain .
Multimeter looks correct ?
And disconnect other battery I assume as it will pull power ?
Because I seemed ridiculous to me that simple courtesy lights could drain a battery that much I pulled the radio and suspect my plugging in a previous owners amplifier leads to my radio leads might have...
