Just picked her up from the shop. Timing and serpentine belt, tensioner, water pump, alinement and e brake adjustment. Total came to $1,103. I feel good about it. Being the payments were $878 a month, I didn't blink. No way I could replace her being I'm retired and my wife is deceased.

I wouldn't either, she's still a Cruiser. I go into a week of mourning whenever mine picks up a rock ding. Used to drive my late wife nuts when it came to finding what I consider a safe parking spot, I'm still that way with her.

HA! Waiting for the personalized plates I ordered last month. The registration came about a week ago. MCMXCIX

You've got that straight. I confirmed an appointment on Friday to have mine changed out later this month. Even though my baby only has a hair over 45,000 miles, it was assembled 17 years ago this month. They're pretty much the soul of an engine. That, plus the serpentine, tensioner and water...
