    Landcruiser 70 series arches wanted

I could use a set of those. Front and rear for a 1988 LJ-73. If Karl Webster knows of another set.

    Landcruiser 70 series arches wanted

By wheel arches, do you mean fender flares, or the inner fender well? (Please pardon my meager grasp of the English language).

I looked for a rebuild kit on there but the closest to ing I could find was this. Is that what you got as a “rebuild kit?” Rolly

    No dashboard lights

I have bookmarked that thread. @Tommo1 has some great stuff for sure. I love his write ups with the pictures. He should start a YouTube channel!

    Won't start - odd symptoms

Thanks for the follow up on this Tommo1. These follow ups help us all out even years later on these threads. My wiring was tortured by Sicilian “mechanics” and has the most random “Va Bene” fixes all over the place.

    No dashboard lights

I wish I knew more about the electrical in my 1988 LJ-73. Your thread did help me though as I had a random after market button on my dash that I was stumped about. Turns out it’s a manual glow plug button. Unfortunately, the entire electrical system on my cruiser is a mess and should be...

Bj73 vm 5 cylinder steering box

Hi all: I am currently in Germany, but I can get USPS mail here. I have found that Euro distributors seem to be much quicker and have more selection. Thanks for all the recommendations though. Rolly

    1988 J-73 trim levels

Does anyone know if the 1988 J-73 models came with the trooper jump seats? Or will the jump seats from the J75-78 models fit in the 73? My 1989 LJ-73 was “restored” in Sicily, and I believe it originally did not have a back seat at all. (Unverified). However the Italian shop “installed” one...

Hey Mike: What kinds of interior plastic bits did that local breaker yelled have? My interior on my 88 LJ 73 is pretty rough. Need a bunch of things.

Learning a lot here thank you

Big Fabio (Steve?): Welcome! I grew up in Oregon, but currently live in Germany. I bought a 1988 LJ 73 while serving in Italy. It is roving difficult to register in Germany as their laws are far tougher than Italian laws. I too am on this awesome forum to learn and glean knowledge for the...

    Looking for 1988 LJ73 parts

Tom: 1000 likes for this response. I have found a good site for all the part numbers (for the whole damn ride) here Parts list This should help me tremendously. Even the fender flares that fit have proven hard to find. I would like to find some that actually fit, without employing a sawzall...

    Looking for 1988 LJ73 parts

I have been searching on the forums for good parts suppliers for the last 80’s LJ/BJ 73 model land cruisers without much luck. I live in Germany, but have a military address for shipping from the states. I am in desperate need of some bushwhacker style fender flairs so that I can pass the...

Swap centre facing bench seats from 78 Series Troop Carrier to 75 Series Troop Carrier?

Any recent updates on these projects? I would love to do some modified setup in my 73, with a jump seat on each side. I don’t think that was a OEM option, but it’s attractive to me so that I can fold them up and haul stuff when not in use.

    1988 LJ73 in Germany

My name is Slagathor. I am currently living in Germany. I have a 1988 LJ73, with a small 3 inch lift and bj axles. The place I bought it from decided that they should “add” a rear seat to it, without a proper install, so I’ll be removing it and returning it to a two person vehicle. I plan on...
