    Greetings y’all!

I was considering Ironman parabolics actually - they are sold nearby & done by experienced mechanics, with this actual kind of Troopy I mean. Any special reason for selecting EFS over Ironman?

    Greetings y’all!

Hi Elliot, This year, I became a 1HZ owner myself (the Netherlands); more specific, a HZJ78 produced at the very end of 2006. I've given it a build-in and had the Hercules roof conversion mounted (quite sturdy by the way); total weight all-in both tanks filled, water, two people has become 3330...

    1hz - euro norm

From where I stand, the big if is whether the emissions classification is in the system or not - this might indeed be different in the UK. On top of that you have to pass the yearly emisssions test. That part needed a bit of creativity - send me a PM if you could use some advise there.

    1hz - euro norm

No mistake there, or at least not by definition. Mine is registered as Euro 4 in the Netherlands, and I've got me the corresponding stickers for Germany and France. The point here seems to be (for the Netherlands, and I've seen it described for Belgium along the same lines: maybe it's a EU-wide...

    Leaking 1HZ engine?

Don't know if it will help, but here's what I would do: get a can of brake cleaner, spray the whole area clean, and observe exactly where the leakage is taking place. Also, look up the exact torque for the bolts in the cover and check if some of them might have come loose. After that, it's time...

    Drive Belt tensioning method ?

Regarding the tension: my mechanic taught me that the belts should be tight enough so that you can twist them just one quarter turn.

    HZJ71 diagnostic

Hi Giacomo, I saw your question on Buschtaxi.net as well, I've answered you there more extensively. In short: please establish that the unit involved isn't just an EGR management unit.

    Troopy electrical problems

Please start, before all else, with checking the mass/ground connection right beside the main battery (see picture: the screw bolted to the right into the plate work). Remove all (even) suspicion of corrosion between connecting terminators, plates, bolts etc. Check whether cable connections are...

    Roof tenting & touring Europe

I live in the Netherlands, so in paperwork I'm no expert at all (living there = not knowing stuff). I do know my way around most of Europe, including the Balkans, so if you might need some advice please do send a message. One more thing: perhaps a good combination for avoiding damp clothing as...

    Roof tenting & touring Europe

Regarding comfort: consider replacing the standard mattrass with one cut form 6 cm HR65 High Resilience foam, on top of a anti-condensation layer. Very comfy & moisture evacuating. Not suitable, however, for plying; we used it in a Alu-Cab Gen 3 clam shell type tent.

    Sub fuel tank not working

Quite informative, thanks to all! Do have the tanks, don't have the poblem, but I'm sure someday this will come in handy.

    1hz Catch can or not?

Hi, a bit late in the game, but I'm new around these parts... From what I know, a catch can (CC) is superfluous on a stock 1HZ engine. The oil vapours will harmlesly pass the intake manifold and burn as they should. Nothing to clog up. If you would have an aftermarket turbo installed...

    Hi from the Netherlands!

@Gr8Yota We've ordered just before year's end, and it is planned to arrive before the end of March. Our supplier got hold of one somewhere in the pipeline just in time. Complicating factor was, that we insisted on buying a white Hercules - not for looks or something, but for keeping the heat...

    Hi from the Netherlands!

Hi all, I'd like to introduce myself to all of you experienced Toyo people. I live in the Netherlands, and we (my wife and I) love to make increasingly long tours. In a sort of organic way this led us to switch from our Iveco Massif to a 2007 HZJ78 Troopy. Definitely less powerfull, but just as...

Glow plug relay location and Glow plugs always having power.

Have you been able to solve this yet? according to the wiring diagram above, you have actually two relays. The second relay (again, according to the diagram) controls the after glow (for better operation while the motor is still cold). And then there is the pre-heating timer (P2). According to...
