100 mm should be fine but remember the roof is dome shaped so you'll have less in the middle.
My rack uses the standard Hannibal mounts and I can tilt my sunroof just enough to let some heat escape.....my next mission would be to get the higher mounts to allow me to fit a table and solar panel...

If you own a Patriot Roof Rack (British Made) from quality Ally please read on....
I have located a Couple of Roof rack side supports (side risers) in my shed. These came off my Patriot Roof Rack on the first day - basically never used and wrapped in bubble wrap. Can't get it over my heart to...
Good evening All!
I have my MOT due this week and it suddenlt occurred that I had an advisory on the previous MOT regarding the handbrake.
Since then this has not been fixed....why bother it's an Auto? :eusa-snooty:

Interesting reading above. I have truly tested my Hannibal with the Jumbo Tourer kit for 8 months going down Africa.
To be honest we only had the Tourer up for 15 nights and it served the purpose to keep the rain out!
When the wind picked up it turned into a sail, luckily it was a warm dry...
Perfect example how it all could go terribly wrong and you to blame! Glad you got that camera!!!
Well done and going beyond call of duty taking care of the injured cyclist.
Hope you upload that video to youtube!
Nice one Grant!
Please invite the others. I'm thinking Ram and Daniel911 would definately try to make it. Even Ryan T was up for the previous one.
Could you please drop each other a PM with contact numbers so we avoid the obvious !
Looking forward to seeing you...I'm tasting the...
Would be great to see you Chass!!
I need to go down to Julian sometime in the near future, let me know if you are planning to go down and drop-off or collect please. We could go down with my truck and return with yours or vice-versa! Every liter counts....
Very nice products indeed!
We found that less is more last year! Trust me when you have to pack it all up everyday for 8 months you want to travel as light and easy as possible.
We had the Hannibal Rooftop Tent with the Jumbo Tourer kit ...
Hi Ram,
Sorry we missed you last night and yes it was super busy!
In the end it was me and GrantW holding the fort!
We'll plan the next one better but given the bank holidays ahead in May I would suggest mid June!
Let me know please and suggest some dates! Thursday's seem to be popular...

Just a quick note to say hello we're back.
Thank you for all the support and messages while we were travelling between London and Cape Town.

Really the slower and longer way down rather...
Hi Guys,
Glad we all know what inshaalah means!!!
I want to cry if they end a sentence with inshaalah - it is equivalent to the South African now now/just now conundrum.
We have reached Sudan and yes Matt we have received the special letter :shh: :shh: :shh: , apparently we don't need...
Finally got the barge and ferry sorted!!
We'll be crossing into the Sudan on Saturday morning inshaalah!!
Hope to catch up with Paul on the way down.
