Hey, I am just wondering how mechanically similar 40,50,60,70 and 80 series landcruisers are? what can interchange between models? Engines? Gearboxes? Diffs etc? I sort of get the impression that 40, 50, 60 and 70 are all very similar, but 80 is heaps different? What about bellhousing patterns...

Hey, I like the 70 series landcrusiers, but I am wondering if it's possible to take the front sheet metal off one of the "new" 70 series crusiers, and fit it onto one of the older ones? Utes in particular. Any advice would be appreciated. Gab
