My 1996 90 Prado RX with 1KZTE, after warmed up periodically displays the 2nd STR function on it's own. When it does I have to manually shift to first. The trans then does what it's supposed to do. Sometimes the indicator doesn't display . Pushing the button doesn't help. This does not happen when the engine is cold. Have the same issue with the OD indicator displaying except it flashes intermittently.
Could these issues be something in the shift column or something worse?
