Broken hj45

Hi my hj45 has either a cracked block of the head gasket has gone . Either way I've decided to go for a new engine what would you put in instead I'm probably gonna try to make it as good as anything around, body work etc I'm in the UK thanks in anticipation .. Jim

What engine cracked ? and best around needs context because for one fella 100% original is best and the for next fella V12 with gold plated wheels . 1 in every million might even think electric is best .
