i have rebuilt a few hilux diffs, and your spending the best part of 200 quid on genuine bearings and crush washer, pinion seal ant the like, so 200 quid labour, thats pretty good, cus they can take from 2 to 5 hours to do well depending on how it all goes,

i just re-red my post, i ment i thought 24v were not as good as the 12v but tuning will be something i will be doing, as i have tinkered with the hilux i have now, 24v it is then. so back to this gearbox thing so its a 80 4.2vx 24v auto? lol

so looks like i need the 80 vx spec, but not the 24valve? i assume this has the front/rear/center locker and leather seats? whats the best gearbox tho,
