Clunk then a clunk continuously under load.

took front prop off and the front diff was stiff to turn I think it was reassembled too tight and the teeth aren’t meshing together correctly. Are all Colorado/parado front diffs the same?

It does it under barely any load. The noise before was only under very heavy load. Being under it it sound like it’s coming from transfer box but it’s basically a new unit

I’m wondering if it’s a bush that’s moving under extreme load. The seal turned up for the diff so I’ll get it back together.

Yeah I’m wondering about a mount it does sound rotational but that maybe a red herring. I’m waiting on diff seals to reassemble.

Clunk then a clunk continuously under load.

Looking more at this I think that’s old damage as the bearing is in very good shape.

Turning the pinion it had a tight spot so took it out of the case looks like the bearing has bound up on the pinion and spun. Could this cause it?

Yes truck still moves with centre diff open. Noise gone with front prop removed. All splines are perfect I’ve checked every single one. It only happens when truck is moving well it bangs as soon as you put strain on the drivetrain and move away. We can eliminate the gear box and anything on the...
