Indicators might be bad earth or perished copper wire? Also check contacts on bulb holder the copper may need a wipe over with some fine sand paper? Can't help with brakes one as mine doesn't have warning light sorry.

Have you checked the bulbs haven't blown in the dash circuit board? Or loose wire on the round connection block?

Hopefully. If its a diesel it won't be ignition problem. Either fuel or air starvation, problem with injector pump or it could just be the H engine, if that's what you've got, hates hills! Mine struggles with steep inclines and does require working the gears otherwise it hasn't got the power to...

If it is a 1976 hj it should be a diesel so shouldn't have an ignition relay? Should have pull kill switch? Has the engine been swapped for petrol unit? David

Sounds an amazing trip, so far I've done 2 approx 25 mile trips in mine to bed new brakes in, can't wait to do longer runs but I have found the old H engine is not keen on inclines!! Have fun.

Thought I had an issue with the glow plug indicator on dash but after reading about different voltage ratings I pulled mine and checked. Turns out they were 11.4v rated in a 12v H engine. After a fair old bit of research I ordered NGK Glow Plug Y-128T as a replacement. Arrived today but I was...
