Turns out the bulb for the engine light was blown.
There is no fault codes, yet the engine does not start. Jumping it doesn’t seem to matter..Batteries are dead..
Hello everyone,
So my 90 series (kzj95w) has a strange issue. First, when the key is turned there is no engine light on the dash. Engine turns over but no start. Bridging TE1 & E1 does nothing.
There is fuel coming out of the injector lines.
Battery seems to be draining.
Glow plug main wire...
Would love to know the fix for this since I have the same issue.
No check engine light at all and te1 & e1 bridge does nothing.
Turns over till the battery is dead..
Pulled the glow plug relay because there is power to the rail even after the ignition is switched of..
Hey guys a quick update,
Did some research and found the vent valve for the fuel tank.
(after watching a video on the pressure released when opening your gas cap)
Turns out mine was completely blocked with mud from an outing...
I've cleaned that out and while I was at it I replace the fuel...
Hey guys, I went on a trip a few weeks back and the truck preformed very well. However after I returned I stopped at the market and turned off the truck. When I came out and started I heard a grinding sound while it started... The next day when i tried to start again that grinding noise and...
Thanks Beau,so am I buddy. I’m very happy with the outcome so far.
Can be smokey yes. Grayish cloud...
I’ve noticed when I turn the key to on position and wait a few seconds I hear the brake cylinder spin. Pretty sure that’s what it is. The glow plug light comes on for a very short time maybe...
Thanks SC, I will preform the test you've suggested. I did look for any leaks in the fuel line. But maybe I missed something I will check again.I did have the glow plugs and primer diaphragm in mind. And thank you very much for your assistance.

The one that failed in my truck was the "Lock up/TCC Solenoid". (Video above to find a...
Hey guys here's a little update. That solenoid that I was getting from shop is not the same as mine.
I have since ordered the correct solenoid and strainer.(after triple checking)
I found this very helpful. Mine does have a slightly different filter though but same principle.
Import tax isn't...
SC, that alternator fuse was already bridged when I got the car back after the rebuild. Also that earth wire @Beau pointed out was also cut.
As for the diode test. Guy in that video said, "just because it passes this test doesn't mean it's good". So I went further and disassembled the...
Beau, I think it was that bridged alternator fuse. Strands of some gauge wire was used and it seems with the rough terrain it might have started breaking a while now. when it was down to a few strands it would cause a fluctuation of current from vibrations on the vehicle while off-road. Just a...
