Hmm... you may be right, in that I am only going by memory what I "think" the RPMs were at highway speeds, and maybe I'm remembering wrong. I've never owned a diesel before and it seems to me that this 1HD-FTE runs at a lot lower RPMs than, say, the 4.7L petrol engine would at the same speeds...

Hi all, does anyone know what this hose/pipe is for? I want to replace the rusty brackets holding it in place but can't seem to find this area or assembly on any of the parts sites like Ayama or Impex. If I knew what this hose/pipe was maybe I could find the bracket part numbers..
