Couldn't agree more ! Most garages will try to wriggle out of the warranty anyway saying you have ridden the clutch, my audi has done 180,000 on the same clutch - I don't ride the clutch. !!! A few quid more on the kit is better than paying for it twice !!

I had a clutch fitted 4000 miles ago that started to slip - it is now having a genuine toyota part fitted !!!!

Cheers Joe, That was a great help - I cross checked the numbers the release bearing and disk are common but the cover plates are different I would presume with stronger springs to cope with the extra torque on the 1kd Cheers Jim

It was a chirping noise which disappeared completely with a slight press of the pedal ! They adjusted something - at first they tried backing off the slave but that was not possible so they adjusted the pedal which stopped it for about 100 miles !!! Being hydraulic I guess it readjusted itself
