UPDATE: Okay, so this was solved by removing the starter. It gave me more space to lift, so i could lift the whole engine over the traverse, straight up, without bending it backwards to get it off of the shaft. Hoisting the motor, jacking up the gearbox, hoisting, jacking, as soon as I got it... -
