G`day, replaced mine and the button is a counter reset. Just cannot recall precisely whether power was on (accessories/ignition?) or not at the time. I had to press and hold for a few seconds before it worked.. Hope this helps, Cheers, Mike

Graphite may be of some interest in the rubber tracks, non stick / non attractant of dust etc and very slippery. Comes in a small puff bottle.
