Glow Wiring + Glow Element Issues --- HJ61

Alright. An update for you all. In the end I just ended up replacing the wiring loom and now I have success. At last. She turns over nicely and all electronics work as they should. My issue now is, no glow. I accidently bought a timer for a hj60 2H, and chucked that in, and it gets glow but not...

Glow Wiring + Glow Element Issues --- HJ61

Thanks for the reply. I am quite sure it works of a timed heating system from direct power to the glow element on the engine. Unfortunately it is not like the old 2-H's as they are a glow plug system but cheers for the idea mate. I'll be sure to check if the glow element on the engine was...

    Please help my FJ62 (1988)

I haven't seen much of these but if you want a simple DIY analysis I would say check the oil, have the pressure checked, maybe check the sensors on the side of the engine. I know sometimes the petrol ones work their way loose and sometimes can be faulty. I hope this helps.

Glow Wiring + Glow Element Issues --- HJ61

G'day all viewers, I am truly sorry if I drag on about this but I need to explain in full, so strap yourselves in, I currently am having some issues with my trusty 1986 HJ61 (12 volt). She is fitted with the beautiful, ultimate, and mighty 12-HT engine and unfortunately was smashed up in a...

    Steering what’s my options

I would try flushing the pump out (blowing it out) and giving it a good clean up. There should be 4 bolts on top, undo those and you should be able to see a few of the inside components. Don't clean it out with water as it may cause water stains to build up clogging up your pump. Try using more...

HELP PLEASE can someone help to diagnose the potential problem. Leak on rear drivers side wheel

Yes by the looks of it, the leaking of the oil/liquid is from the seal and the only idea that I can come up with to undo the screws is to grab your Phillips screwdriver and a hammer and tap the end of the Phillips while it is on the screw. This will send shocks through the screw allowing it to...

Tidying up engine bay wiring hj60

In order to replace the electrical wiring in the engine bay, you would have to either replace some of the wiring looms behind the dash, or cut the bad ones off and use a soldering iron and mend new wires on. It would take a mammoth amount of effort knowing the old 60 series. Be warned it is a...

It could be a bare, worn or chewed wire. Maybe check to see if the plug is the problem. If not any of these, I am sorry and I hope you get it fixed soon.

    Scum

What a B****. Sorry that had to happen to you mate. Poor old 60 series take a floggin. It is a shame that it had to happen especially to such a nice vehicle. What infuriates me is that some people never understand the true significance of the old 60 series and what their value is. I hope that...
