Hi Thats the one thanks, I remember the name now. It's not me that has the problem it's a friend with a BMW Z series. They've used an electric motor to activate the power steering and it's gone kaput. BMW want £800 for one so rebuild/rewire is 'hopefully' an option. ................ Andy

Have you managed to get rid of the light display on the dash ? I was struggling until someone on here gave me a tip about mine. Unplug/remove the AHC ECU, It's under the dash just to the left of steering column. Andy
