    EGR - advice needed!!

Injectors have been replaced twice, but not recently. I am actually trading up the jeep in a couple of months time, so I suppose I am looking for the simplest/cheapest short term solution. Its not due a test till October, (in Ireland). What is an unobtrusive egr delete?

    EGR - advice needed!!

Ok, so full disclosure, I only come here when I need something. As I know next to nothing about engines, most of the discussions are way above my paygrade. Anyway, engine light lit up yesterday, went into garage, put diagnostics on it. Came up as EGR - they gave me two options. Replace...

Hitting acceleration flat spot, then surging off

Thanks, hadn't read the whole of the thread yet!! Have now found the link to the reg check, but my reg is Irish so doesn't work. But looks like mine "should" be a euro 4 - as it was registered in Sept 07 and euro 4 is post Jan 2006

Hitting acceleration flat spot, then surging off

Well its still happening. So I am thinking next step is to change the short scv for a long one. Can anyone send me a link to what I am looking for? The new ones sold for the 2007 prado look very short?? Here is link to what I have found, is it what I am looking for? And will I get kicked off...

@Tractionman here in IReland they call them jeeps, but at least they see a bit of work over here, and you rarely find one without a tow bar. However, in the UK - don't get me started (I am british by birth but have lived in Ireland over half my life) - the nearest thing a lot of them get to...

Hitting acceleration flat spot, then surging off

For some reason I got locked out of the thread for a couple of days:neutral: - but just to update, even with a full tank of diesel on board the jeep (I can't call her a truck -sounds like delusions of grandeur) she is now flying up the hill she was failing on, so figure it must have been the new...

@Tractionman - two separate injector issues a few years apart. Major engine garage did the work both times. Not sure tbh how many/what was replaced either time. But from reading threads here today and checking my VIN - mine was one of the recalls for injectors. But I only bought her (2007...
