Does your mirror plug have wires that got to pins 5, and 12?

They are not ID codes they're just 2 different model mirrors for different spec levels. I thought this might help you with which Japanese Spec vehicle you have. Yours is most likely not optioned for cold climate.

Unichip for diesels is called Safari Dtronic. Its been discontinued. The chip alone will give a small increase in power and fuel economy. Basically stuff all in my experience. Have a look at the Safari high output kit as a good good power upgrade for the LC100TD
